There is a lot of reason to why you might need to factory reset your android phone. Some of the reasons are it’s slow, apps are crushing, it auto reboot, or you want to sell your phone to another person.
Regardless of your reasons, here are two ways to factory reset your phone.

This process will include devices running Android one or any device which is identical to android One stock version Example Pixel, Nokia, Motorola, Xiaomi and OnePlus. This will exclude Samsung which run on Samsung’s One UI, which we will discuss it after Android One phones.
You device will boot up and start as new, you will be able to set up as new.
You phone will reboot and you will be able to set up your phone as New.
By this process you will be able to enter in recovery mode by pressing a power button and volume up /down button simultaneously. This process varies from phone to phone.
Before we proceed, we have to know that Google released Factory Reset Protection (FRP) a few years ago. Which made this feature standard on all phones running Lollipop and above. Practically, FRP ensures that somebody can’t just factory reset your lost or stolen phone and set it up as new by booting into recovery mode.
The mode requires you to sign into to a Google account associated with the device after a factory reset. If you fail, you won’t be able to proceed with the setup. This isn’t an issue when you’re resetting via the settings.
